Dined on some cracking fish and chips that truly hit the spot. Brekkie was a hearty spread! The staff were spot-on, making the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. Can't forget about the lush beer garden, even if the weather didn’t play ball.
Had a bit of a bother with the green LED emergency exit light above the door that shone through the night—definitely a distraction I could've done without.

Just a good match for a stopover in Burford with good value for cost. The breakfast was very good quality, a nice surprise. Be sure to try their ales during your stay.

had a fab stay at the angel, super friendly staff who were really helpful, the food was delicious especially brekkie which was huge. the room was comfy and clean. The vibe of the old pub just off the main street was lovely and cozy. location in burford is awesom. definitely a good place to chill after a day exploring the cotswolds.
the heater in our room was a bit noisy and woke us up in the morning. also, the pillows were too big and uncomfortable, had to ditch em.

Charming stay with fantastic food
I recently enjoyed a lovely stay where the food was the star of the show, especially breakfast, which featured a generous serving of smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. The room was cozy and very clean with unique features that added to its charm. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. Noise from the restaurant below was noticeable at times, but it didn't significantly detract from our stay.

The king en-suite room was beautiful and clean with a comfy bed and a lovely en-suite bathroom. It had a TV with Netflix and freeview. The in-house restaurant served delicious dinner and breakfast with lots of choices. Quirky wonky floors and a log burner made the atmosphere really cozy.

Great atmosphere as soon as I stepped in. The old pub charm felt very inviting. Room was spacious with a lovely view of the street, but the carpet showed signs of needing a deep clean. Staff were friendly and helpful, even allowing us to park close by. Dinner was delightful, with the menu offering fresh, tasty options. service was a bit slow at breakfast, taking longer than expected. There was a minor hiccup with a mix-up in our orders, but they resolved it quickly. I could hear some noise from downstairs because of the old floorboards, but it settled down by around 9 PM. Despite a few downsides, I enjoyed my stay overall. The warm reception made up for the few inconveniences I encountered.
